Launched on September 23, 2018, the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) aims to achieve Universal Health Coverage in India. It covers over 12 crore families, providing INR 5 lakh annually for secondary and tertiary care, focusing on the poorest 40% of the population and addressing health inequities.
