SCOMET is India’s control list which is an acronym for Special Chemicals, Organisms, Materials, Equipment, and Technologies. Export of items and technologies under SCOMET are regulated. It is either prohibited or is permitted under an authorisation from the licensing authority. DGFT has recently updated the list, have a look at the briefing note.
